The Union Gospel Mission has ministered to Spokane’s homeless and needy men since 1951.

The present facility was completed in 1990 and houses up to 185 guests at 1224 E. Trent, just east of downtown Spokane. The Mission offers a free drug and alcohol rehabilitation program to its residents.

This intensive recovery program encompasses five phases of counseling, Bible study, classes, work requirements, and responsibility. Each phase takes 3-4 months to complete.

Check-in is available 24 hours a day at the Mission's east entrance ("Guest Accommodations").
To check in, guests must be sober and drug-free. ID is required. Hot meals, showers, comfortable sleeping quarters, clean clothing, a medical and eye clinic, and a secure environment are offered to all.

Over 3,000 individuals benefit from the Union Gospel Mission’s services each year. All services provided at the Mission are offered free of charge through the continuing support of the caring people of Spokane.
