  • Dec 2011 Volunteer Jerry - Jerry BrodeurWhen his wife passed away two and half years ago, Jerry Brodeur found himself at loose ends. Life seemed a bit empty, so he started looking for opportunities to volunteer and found a regular gig at the Mission. Not only does Jerry faithfully run the salad bar at the Men's Shelter every Tuesday and Friday, he dons costumes for special occasions and comes laden with special treats. One of the best things Jerry offers is relationship. “Jerry is an excellent role model for our guys” said Russell MacKenzie, Director of Food Services. “He is a mature, responsible male with good judgment and a fine sense of humor.” He puts a smile on the face of everyone he meets. Thanks, Jerry!
