Update #5 - Bidding Begins

It's been nine months since we purchased the land at 196 W. Haycraft Avenue in Coeur d'Alene, ID. Now we're just one month from groundbreaking.

As you've read in previous updates, this journey has been marked by numerous milestones. The bidding process begins tomorrow, June 1, and with your prayers we hope to see contractors and companies step forward with gifts in kind.

We'd also like to invite YOU to take additional steps to get involved with Kootenai County's first recovery center for women and children.

Please contact Debi Pauletto, director of advancement, about the following opportunities ( | 509-979-3999):

  • See the Impact: The best way to experience how the new Kootenai County shelter will impact lives? Visit the Women's Recovery Program at Anna Ogden Hall in Spokane. You'll see firsthand how our grace-based program transforms the women who participate.
  • Meet at the Property: UGM has an office on the property in Coeur d'Alene to introduce our ministry and project to interested folks.
  • Speaking Opportunities: We would welcome the chance to speak with your Kootenai County-based group or organization about the Union Gospel Mission's plans in North Idaho, and how they can be a part of the effort.
