Update #7 - Construction Begins

IT'S OFFICIAL!

Construction has begun on the new Center for Women and Children in Coeur d'Alene. All five mayors from Kootenai County -- along with over 200 people from the faith community, the non-profit sector, businesses and the general public -- attended the June 30th groundbreaking, showing both breadth and depth of support for the project.

Idaho's First Lady Lori Otter was the featured speaker, and Heather Heinitz, 2010 graduate of the Women's Recovery Program at Anna Ogden Hall, represented the women and children whose lives will be impacted by the project.

See a slideshow of the event on our Flickr page.

You can also read articles on the dedication from the Spokesman Review and the Coeur d'Alene Press.
