Women’s Shelters
Union Gospel Mission Ministries is committed to meeting the unique needs of homeless women and children through our two distinctive shelters: the Crisis Shelter for Women and Children at 1234 E. Sprague, providing emergency assistance to single women and families in crisis; and Anna Ogden Hall at 2828 W. Mallon, offering a long-term women’s recovery program.

Opened: 2007 The women’s and children’s shelter exists to provide a safe, healthy, short-term refuge for women and children in crisis. It is one of the few options open to homeless moms with teenage boys in Spokane. |

Opened: 1951 Moved to current location: 1990 For almost 60 years, with support from generous donors, the Men's Shelter has helped transform the lives of thousands of men who are hurting and homeless in Spokane. The shelter currently houses up to 185 guests a night and serves more than 3,000 individuals every year. |

Youth Outreach

Juvenile Detention Tshimakain Creek The youth outreach program equips local churches to reach out to at-risk children and teens. The Mission’s beautiful Tshimakain Creek Camp sits on 125 acres bordering the Spokane River and offers a wide range of outdoor activities, as well as the opportunity for youth to meet and worship their Creator. After camp, the relationship continues with local churches ministering to the kids in their neighborhoods. |

Our upscale thrift stores provide vocational training and a safe work environment for clients of Union Gospel Mission Ministries and other men and women in transition. Sprague, 99212 Union Gospel Mission Motors is a program that sells safe, affordable vehicles that have been donated to the Union Gospel Mission Ministries and tested, repaired and detailed at God’s Garage, an automotive shop providing job training to Mission residents. |
