Program Counselor – Our Men’s Recovery Program is searching for a Washington State licensed counselor who has expertise in treating childhood trauma, sexual abuse and PTSD. We do not require candidates to specialize in addiction recovery; however, they should have some familiarity with the field. Our program team offers a variety of theoretical and spiritual therapy techniques, and we are searching for a therapist who can integrate and treat the effects of trauma on current mental and emotional problems and addictive behavior. Three years experience should include assessment and diagnosis procedures that take DSM-IV classifications and dual diagnosis criteria into consideration. General knowledge of psychotropic medication and its place in a recovery setting would be beneficial. We emphasize a safe and healing environment for total recovery of the physical, emotional and spiritual effects that addiction and other life issues have on people’s lives. Successful candidate will carry a case load of 9-13 men, conduct group counseling, lead topic-focused program classes, participate in program activities and actively contribute in team meetings and client review sessions. Requires a Master’s Degree in counseling & a minimum of 3 years counseling experience. Must be registered in the State of Washington. Must be committed to the Christian faith and comply with drug-free, tobacco-free, and no alcohol policy. Salary range: $34k to $48k.
